Complete renovation and transformation of an 80s style property including the demolition of a single garage, attached porch and rear conservatory. Excavations included up to 100 ton of earth removal from the large garden to make way for the new driveway and entrance. Complete new build of a large double garage with a cantilevered roof over the porch and hallway. The existing exterior wall coverings were removed and we applied a new K Rend finish in White with Pewter Grey window surrounds. The striking new entrance walls were constructed of random sized imitation slate which complemented the beautiful oak gates and posts. Internally a full renovation was carried out of the property including a large new Kitchen with glazed lantern skylight allowing an abundance of natural light to flow into the area. In addition, three new bathrooms, a large living room space with fire place construction housing a state of the art glass fronted gas fire. We incorporated LED mood lighting in various areas throughout the property. Installation of a stunning custom built kiln dried ash staircase with toughened glass panels and matching ash handrails. Complete transformation of a bedroom into a well equipped gym.

We embarked on a renovation journey, not having done anything on this scale before but Neville and Dominic worked with us to deliver our vision. The Gill Brothers team input their ideas which complemented and built on ours providing the end result we are delighted with, their constant focus was to give us what we wanted and regularly explained the detail during the build. Neville/Dominic always gave us options to rectify or change design options. Nothing was too much trouble, even when we had to wait for further planning permission to extend the garage. The full team are hard working, courteous, very tidy, talented craftsmen, including the sub contractors that were engaged to support the Gills team. We always said that we never had any problems with the people associated with the build, any issues we encountered have all been dealt with and rectified promptly. We have had many compliments both from people known to us but also many strangers. The after build support is also invaluable, giving us total piece of mind. We would whole heartedly recommend Gill Brothers to anyone considering a renovation/new build. Thanks again.

Over the 42 years Gill Brothers have been trading, we have won numerous awards. The most recent being the 2017 LABC Building Excellence Awards at the Hilton Newcastle. Gill Brothers have also won five Whitehaven Heritage awards during the ten years the awards were running.
