Gill Brothers bought this run down, derelict property in May 2013 as an in house Project. The exterior wall coverings, defective cavity fill and old corroded wall ties had to be removed and replaced with new stainless steel ties to stop any further corrosion, expansion and cracking of the existing structure. We added a new kitchen extension to the rear with cathedral style ceilings and two large velux windows. We applied white K Rend finish to the external surfaces with Pewter Grey window surrounds. Additionally, we installed new concrete slip sills under each new anthracite grey UPVC window. The interior had new insulated walls and concrete floors including a damp proof membrane, two new bathrooms, two bedrooms and a study/office. The living room area had some major structural alterations carried out to double the size creating much more open space, we also constructed a new facing brick chimney breast and installed a log burner to give the property a real cosy and homely feel. Full re-wire and installation of a new central heating system. The defective roof coverings fascia boards, soffits, guttering and downspouts were all replaced with new materials. We added a new block paver drive, constructed a rear patio area installing an astra turf lawn to form the rear garden all surrounded with natural Burlington slate slabs.
